Mike has been a securities broker for 43 years. He takes pride in providing attentive and personal service to his clients.
Mike grew up in the small town of Yreka, California. He attended college at Willamette University and obtained a degree in Economics. After graduating in 1980, he moved to Seattle where he was a founding partner in Columbia Pacific Securities, Inc. The company was acquired by Ragen MacKenzie Investment Services of which Mike became president. In 2004 they merged with another firm, and the following year Mike left and joined E.K. Riley Investments. 2020 brought another change as E.K. Riley was acquired by LPL Financial. Mike's office now operates under the name Cascade Wealth Management. In 2021, Mike and the team affiliated with Prospera Financial Services, a full-service boutique broker-dealer and seven-time winner of Investment Advisor Magazine’s Broker-Dealer of the Year Award.
Mike works alongside his partner, Leslie La Motte, whom he has worked with for 28 years and his daughter, Anna Meiners Hansen, who has worked with him for 14 years.
Mike and his lovely wife of 40+ years, Robin, left Seattle and moved to Bend in 2011 for a change of lifestyle. Mike enjoys being with his wife, three daughters, son-in-laws and 2 granddaughters. In addition to spending time with loved ones, Mike can be found outdoors skiing, mountain biking, hiking, and hunting & fishing.
